12ft Pencil Pine Hinged Christmas Tree (3.66m)

The inspiration for the Pencil Pine Downswept Christmas tree originated right here in Australia. The Athrotaxis cupressoides is a species endemic to Tasmania and its common name is Pencil Pine, although it's not a member of the Pine family but rather an evergreen coniferous tree. Growing in high altitudes the narrow conical shape and their downward-drooping limbs, help them shed snow.

With this in mind the Pencil Pine Downswept Christmas tree was developed as the perfect Christmas tree for smaller spaces. Easy to decorate with branches sweeping close to the floor the larger sizes are well suited to stairwells and entrances. This slim line design features 2½" wide tips and down swept branches making it particularly easy to decorate.
